Urvashi Pathania

Urvashi Pathania (she/her) is a writer/director based in Brooklyn. Her films explore gender, sexuality, and cultural bereavement.

Urvashi was selected for the 2024 Sundance Screenwriters Lab with her feature SKIN. She also participated in the 2023 Sundance Screenwriting Intensive, where she was a recipient of the Horror Fellowship and Asian American Fellowship.

Urvashi’s short film, BEAST, premiered at Tribeca Festival and screened in select theaters nationally before Jordan Peele’s NOPE. Her short film, UNMOTHERED, was acquired by HBO Max.

She received her B.A. with Honors in Film Studies from Columbia University and her M.F.A. in Film Production from USC.
